1990 Tonka Toys Look Book

The cover features a very large model #100 Mighty Tonka Dump toy box. The 1990 look book featured selected models from the various series. The Mighty series is featured on the cover with all eight 1990 models listed. They are the #3901 Mighty Dump, #3908 Power Treads, #3909 Mighty Tow Truck, #3920 Mighty Loader, #3931 Mighty Backhoe, #3905 Mighty Mixer, #3907 Mighty Dozer and the #3926 Mighty Crane.

Regular series models were now named the Large Vehicle series. And it was further sub divided into various assortments and single packaged models. Models available in 1990 were the #2202 Rovin' Wrecker in 2 color schemes, #2209 Commando 4x4, #2211 Domino's Pizza Delivery Truck, #2560 Wrecker/Sun Rider Combo, #2201 Mudrunner Pickup, #2200 Road-Tough Pickup Assortment of 2, #2410 Red Rampage Jeep, #2206 All American Assortment of 3, #2204 Rebel Yell Pickup, #2550 Turbo Prop Planes Assortment of 3, #2207 Quarry Dump, #2534 Trencher/Backhoe, #2510 Grader, #2214 Construction Boss Pickup and the #2961 Bulldozer.

Another series featured Fire trucks. Models were the #2250 Deluxe Aerial Ladder, #2230 Water Cannon and the #2320 Rescue Fire Truck

Another new series named Steel Wheels, was sized close to the old Mini Tonka series. Models were the #1315 Utility Trucks Assortment of 4 different trucks, #1360 Heavy-Duty Pumper, #1368 Domino's Pizza Delivery Pickup, #1366 Pickup Assortment of 2, #1355 Earth Mover Dump, #1359 Earth Movers Assortment of 4, #1417 Beach Buggies Assortment of 3 and #1465 Kenworth Assortment of 4.

Tiny series models were the #1153 Tiny Tonka Assortment of 6, #1800 Dune Buster Jeep and model #1930 Light Utility Pickup Assortment of 2.

An all plastic series, Tough Treads, was sized just a little smaller than the Steel Wheels. Models featured in this look book are the # 1100 Tough Treads Assortment of 12, #1107 Construction Rigs Assortment of 6, #1110 Mud Champs Assortment of 6, #1109 Workin' Rigs Assortment of 6, #1105 Tandems Assortment of 6 and #1127 Big Rigs Assortment of 6.

The Play Sets series featured model #1005 Construction, #1009 Fire Department, #1011 Search and Rescue, #1012 Space Shuttle, #1013 Off-Road Racing, #1025 Road Racing, #1040 News, #1002 Jungle Adventure, #1007 Police, #1008 State Fair, #2010 Super Military, #2005 Super Off Road, #2001 Super Space Shuttle and #2030 Super Bat Man.

The last series featured in the 1990 look book are the My First Tonka Preschool models. Represented are the #309 Li'l Wheels Assortment of 12, #310 Tubboats Assortment of 3, #320 Tandems Assortment of 3, #321 Trucks 'n Trailers Assortment of 3, #322 Neighborhood Assortment of 3, #351 Fire Station, #350 Construction Site, #352 Airport and #353 Fast Food Play Set.
